Humanutopia - Haven High students inspired by 'life changing' workshops
Year 9 and 10 students at Haven High Academy embarked on a life-changing inspirational day as Humanutopia delivered two one-day workshops in Boston.
Students were encouraged to make positive changes to their lives, get out of their comfort zones and to break down social barriers.
Throughout the day the students interacted with classmates who they wouldn’t normally socialise with inside and outside of school, as Humanutopia’s Georgie and Tamara ran the interactive workshops.
Humanutopia looked to help the students make a strong foundation by improving their levels of hope, confidence, happiness, relationships and employability skills.
LiNCHigher’s Area Engagement Officer for Boston, Ellis Potter, said: “The two Humanutopia days at Haven High Academy were a great success with positive changes being made to both Years 9 and 10 (Classes of 20 and 21).
“The days were all about changing attitudes towards each other, to empower and inspire the students and to address personal and social barriers to their education.
“It was great to see students engage with the brilliant Humanutopia presenters Georgie and Tamara, and to witness the positive impact that that had on the students and the wider school community, and we now look forward to working with the parents of Years 9 and 10 at our Human Utopia parent events.”
The dates for the parent events will be confirmed shortly.
